With his vivid crimson body, this bird stands out like a fluorescent light! Especially against the backdrop of its black wings and tail.

The Brazilian Tanager belongs to the Thraupidae family of birds.

A sexual dimorphism – bird that is approximately 7.1 inches (0.18 m) in length and weighs 0.99 – 1.25 oz (0.05 kg).

Males have a large beak and vivid red, crimson plumage with black wings and a black tail.

His top bill is black, while his lower bill is silver.

Females lack the males’ silver bill and are predominantly brown with such a cinnamon belly and rump.

This subspecies is endemic to Brazil, ranging from Paraba to Santa Catarina.

The Brazilian tanager prefers to reside at the boundaries of forests, agricultural areas, and chicken coops.

They also prefer to be near bodies of water such as lakes, streams, rivers, and lagoons.

These birds are mostly frugivorous, preferring Cecropia as well as Acnisuts images and video but also consuming papaya, banana, guava, and other tropical fruits.

They have also been observed eating insects and worms.

Brazilian tanagers breed from October to March, constructing a cup-shaped nest of plant fibers such as agave, coconuts, fronds, and grasses.

The female lays 2-3 eggs inside and incubates them with around 13 days.

The chicks get fledged 14-17 days after hatching.

Despite occasional entrapment for the caged bird trade, this Brazilian tanager community appears to be steady because the bird is able to respond to new in its habitat caused by humans.
