Dogs often like swimming, but after becoming stranded in a Florida canal, one tired pup has vowed never to swim again.

Turbo, an 11-year-old Doberman Pinscher, fell into the ocean by mistake on Marco Island, only to discover that the conduit’s steep wall made crawling back out difficult.

Turbo was still treading water fifteen hours later, which is rather outstanding for a dog his age.

But the tenacious senior couldn’t last much longer. Turbo was fortunately saved from drowning just in time.

However, first responders were not your average human crew. This is amazing.

Passing dolphins, however, according to witnesses, felt the dog’s anguish and instantly began splashing about to attract rescue.

The commotion was loud enough to wake up two vacationers more than a half-mile distant.

Moreover, Turbo, who was so exhausted that he couldn’t even bark, obviously owes his life to this wonderful dolphin pod.

“He was shaking and distressed,” said owner Cindy Burnett. Dolphins, according to experts, are nice, helpful creatures who want to help other animals in need.
