Oregon fire department saves the life of a senior dog who fell down 60 foot embankment

Due to Westport Fire and Rescue, now a 10-year- old Great Dane whose name is Presley, is in recovery at home. The incident happened last Sunday when Susan Clark, the dog’s owner was outside with her dog. She said that the dog suddenly vanished from her sight.

The woman said that it happened so harsh that she was in panic. She started looking for her everywhere, but there wasn’t even a sign of her. It was already 2 days that they were looking for her when a neighbor noticed her on the top of the hill.

The dog dropped down the hill and was seriously injured. Clark called Westport Fire and Rescue for help.

As she had been injured, she wasn’t able to climb up back. It wasn’t the firefighter’s job to rescue dogs, but they somehow found a way to help.

Their team brought a special stretcher and ropes to help the dog. Finally, after 45 minutes of hard work, they lifted her up.

They brought the dog to the hospital. She was just tired and starving. To recover her dehydrated state the animal doctor gave her fluids under the skin.

Presley is at home in safety and feels good. No amount of words can be used to express the gratitude towards the team for their professionalism.
