Kittens found under duplex are so happy to be back with cat mom and so they come running to her

Last month, a concerned resident discovered seven 6-week-old kittens under her duplex.

The cat mother was unable to be found and did not return to her kids.

A CBCR foster volunteer sprung into action and welcomed all seven into her home.

Meanwhile, the finder continued to look for the mother in the hopes of seeing her return.

The kittens were skinny, emaciated, and hungry. Fiddlesticks, the youngest of the litter, was in the poorest condition.

They were about to bottle-feed her and provide supportive care when they received a call from the finder.

The cat mother arrived three days after the kittens were discovered, in need of assistance herself.

The finding was desperate to get her off the streets and remained up all night attempting to capture her.

Volunteers hurried to rescue the mother cat, called Maze, and reunite her with her offspring.

The kittens swarmed up to Maze one after the other, begging for her attention by pawing on her or nuzzling into her tummy.

Maze began grooming each of them one by one until she was defeated by the one of seven.

The demanding seven sat on their mother’s abdomen and nursed fervently. Fiddlesticks spent the entire morning with Mama Maze, making up for missed time.
