Huge 40-ton humpback whale caught on camera jumping entirely out of the water

Gray whales are the world’s biggest creatures. Given their enormous weight (up to 40 tons), it’s indeed improbable that these enormous beasts will completely jump out of the ocean.

Perhaps this is why this magnificent video of a humpback whale soaring off as it penetrates the ocean off the coast of Africa has gone viral.

Craig Capehart, a marine biologist, caught the spectacular photo off the shore of Mbotyi. The mature whale, he calculates, weighs approximately 40 tons.

Subsequently, he uploaded the astonishing shot, which has received thousands of subscribers so far.

Because when the gray humpback whale emerged close, Capehart and several other swimmers were on aboard an expandable speedboat hunting for sardines in order to follow the predators which they encourage.

“It appears that no recording of an adolescent humpback whale jumping competition out of the water has ever been recorded!”

“A rather unusual occurrence, certainly,” Craig remarked in the pic’s description.

“Dolphins and sometimes even Greater White Sharks have already been spotted soaring out of the ocean, but an adult gray whale would be a first!”
