Homeless and poor man rushes into burning animal shelter saving every animal

The publication describes a homeless man as a great hero for risking his life to save an entire shelter full of rescued animals and dogs.

If it hadn’t been for the bravery of Keith Waker, 53, the fire would have destroyed the W-Underdogs shelter in Atlanta.

“I wasn’t going to lie, I was terrified as hell,” Walker said to CNN. “I was terrified going in there with all that smoke.”

But God sent me to preserve those creatures.”

“You can love anyone in the world if you love a dog.”

My dog is my greatest buddy, and without him, I wouldn’t be here, therefore I knew I had to help all those other dogs.”

He was able to save all the animals from the shelter, which included ten cats and six dogs.

Gracie Hamilton, the creator of W-Underdogs, described Keith as her guardian angel:

“Even the firefighters didn’t want to handle the dogs.” They phoned animal services, although Keith was already inside the building, rescuing the cats and dogs.”

Keith has been homeless from when he was 13, according to Victoria Stilwell, a member of W-Underdogs’ advisory board.

He faces the many problems of being homeless, but he adores his dog,” Stilwell added.

Keith was already a familiar figure at the shelter since they allowed him to keep his dog, Bravo, there every night.

He was actually on his way to pick up Bravo when he noticed the fire and took immediate action.
