He shook and wailed in pain hoping someone would respond to his mournful cries

Nobody likes to hear the sound of a sobbing dog in pain, but that’s exactly what a kind Samaritan in northern Minnesota just heard.

The awful sound persisted, so the nice soul walked outside to investigate.

When the individual arrived at the source of the cries and pleadings, they discovered a little 4-month-old Shepherd mix dog in excruciating pain.

On closer inspection, it appeared that the hapless animal had been left there for weeks.

The fact that the poor puppy was sobbing indicated that he was alive, although barely.

Baylor, the puppy, was discovered in a window well with something wrapped firmly around his midsection.

The tie-out wire was discovered wrapped firmly around the pup’s midsection when the caring individual drew closer.

The cord was trapped in his waist, causing significant stomach pain.

Unfortunately, rescuers believe this terrible deed was done on purpose.

“Baylor’s mother stood by watching as if to shield him from more damage,” the Animal Humane Society wrote on Facebook.

“She’d probably been feeding him, so he might survive,” said the veterinarian, who was able to remove the cord.

Baylor needed immediate medical care to heal serious damage to his developing organs.

Unfortunately, when the inquiry began, the rescue group realized that this was not the first instance of animal mistreatment at the house where Baylor was located.

Baylor’s lower abdomen skin was reattached, and his urine functions were reestablished.

Despite the fact that the procedure is uncommon, the veterinarians understood what to do, and Baylor survived.

He is currently healing in a foster family, but he still has a long journey ahead of him.
