Father orangutan steps up to take care of his daughter after mum passed away

Orangutan fathers are not frequently involved in raising their kids.

Females take on all the burden, and they stay with their young for years, spending more time with them than any other animal on the planet.

As a result, the relationship between a mother orangutan and her child is without a doubt the strongest in the animal kingdom.

But this orangutan overcame all odds by taking on the role of mother in rearing his two-year-old offspring.

After the mother died, the male took charge of raising his children. At the Denver Zoo, incredible scenarios played out.

Nias, an orangutan, died of a heart attack at the age of 32.

Orangutans may live up to 40 years in the wild, but under human care, their lifetime rises by approximately ten years.

After taking on the burden of parenting his daughter, Cerah, shortly after Nias’s death, father Berani perplexed everyone.

As it turned out, Nias does an excellent job as a’mom.

Nias, a dedicated father, cuddles with his daughter before she sleeps and consoles her whenever she cries!

“Berani is extremely attentive and protective of her, taking care of all her needs,” Denver Zoo said on Social Media.

“He carries her, comforts her, and even cuddles her as she sleeps.”
