Dog distraught after family leaves him at high-kill shelter but then new best friend adopts him

Blue, a pit bull, experienced the unthinkable: his family abandoned him. Blue spent nearly a year with a family in California, but when the family relocated, they opted not to take Blue with them.

It was surrendered to the Carlson Shelter in California, a high-kill institution.

He was so moved that he did what anyone else would have done: he burst into tears.

The volunteers attempted to give him a treat or even just a smile, but he was so overcome with emotion that all he could do was weep.

Some claim the photos depict tears pouring from allergies, but I believe we all know how tears wound up on this gorgeous Pitbull’s face.

Fortunately, volunteers from Saving Carson Shelter Dogs decided to assist him by sharing the video at the bottom of the story on social media.

The pictures were made and were successful in gaining publicity in the hopes that someone would take Blue in and give him a permanent home!

Blue became close friends with Jennifer McKay.

Jennifer came not once, not twice, but 3 times, and the third time she brought him home!

Blue has been a brand-new dog since he was released from the kennel and placed in a household.

Blue was given a wash and taken for a walk as soon as he arrived at his new home, and he quickly made himself at home, lying on the couch in the living room.

When he isn’t napping or driving with the windows down, his favorite pastime is staring in the mirror.
