As anybody would guess, this is a high-stakes profession where pressure is constant and tension is at an all-time high.

Fortunately for the soldiers at the campsite, they weren’t on their own.

Ollie, the soldier’s dog, stayed with him through thick and thin and was always there to assist him de-stress.

Ollie, on the other hand, was not there by military order. He was there by chance, since he was a soldier.

When he first encountered Wyrsch, the dog was simply a stray puppy. He occurred to stroll onto the base, apparently looking for food.

When the troops discovered him and realized he was destitute, they decided that the camp needed a mascot.

After about a month, the soldier received word that his unit was being dissolved.

While returning home would typically be welcome news to any soldier, Wyrsch could only think about Ollie.

Every single one of the men had grown to adore the dog, but Ollie and Wyrsch were almost inseparable.
