In the world of birds, it seems that just when you believe you’ve seen the most gorgeous bird. Another one appears to quickly replace it.

When you write about birds practically every day, it’s nearly hard to pick a favorite.

In any case, here’s another lovely bird to add to my vast list of faves.

This bird belongs to the highly appealing tanager family.

A family of birds, each with their own special beauty.

This one, on the other hand, stands out with its own gorgeous color palette.

This crimson-backed tanager, Ramphocelus dimidiatus, dressed in red and burgundy feathers and has a gleaming white beak.

These birds’ eggs are blue with black spots on them.

The number of eggs laid every season has yet to be calculated. And, as yet, they have not faced extinction.

Nature’s magnificent works are very amazing.

Unfortunately, most people do not recognize the need of conservation.

These tanagers men found in South and Central America, most notably in Guatemala, Colombia, and Venezuela.

By the way, the masked crimson tanager (Ramphocelus nigrogularis) is perhaps equally gorgeous.

These birds can also be seen in tiny numbers on the islands of French Polynesia.

They tend to live in groups in lowland woodlands.

Experts find them in subtropical or tropical swamps and damp sparse vegetation in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
